Amazon 推出自家 Mac Download Store，比起 Apple Store 小了點，大部份商品 Apple Store 上也都有，最搶眼的商品大概就是微軟 Office 的 Mac 用版本，不過 Amazon Mac App Store 沒有開發桌面應用程式，意謂著使用者可能很難接收到更新的資訊，或者根本就會忘了去光顧，除了需要微軟 Office 的時候。
這是 Amazon 繼 Kindle App Store 和 Android Appstore 後，第 3 個應用程式商店。
