會不會覺得剛剛發表的 Nexus S 念起來有些拗口？而這款明明是第二支的Google 手機為什麼不稱作 Nexus Two 而要從 Nexus One 跳到 Nexus S 呢？據 TechCrunch Michael Arrington 引用的消息來源說法是：三星不做第二 ( We don’t like being number two )
特別是第一款 Google 手機 Nexus One 還是 HTC 製造。所以就以三星慣用的 S 來作為命名代號，代表速度 (speed)、智慧生活 (smart life)、智慧手機 (smart phone) 囉。
